Community Path Network

Community path networks form the basic infrastructure to provide the public with reasonable access throughout their area. By linking key amenities and recreational opportunities, these paths provide an opportunity to reduce dependency on vehicular travel and enable easier access to the environment, as well as providing the vital infrastructure for our Walking to Health Project.

The Community Access Networks Volunteer Scheme (CANVaS)

COAT runs a volunteer scheme to help look after the community paths it manages. This scheme is an opportunity for people to get involved in caring for the paths around communities and operates in a number of communities across the Cairngorms National Park area where COAT has helped to develop path networks.

You can find out more about volunteering with us at the Outdoor Cairngorms website, which is dedicated to our Adopt a Path volunteer schemes.
